Game of Thrones
12:50 AMMy youngest sis suggested me to read the novel, but I watched the TV series. Hahaha. I'm not really a book fan. I was, when I was small. Now I only read when I have the mood. My first impression of Game of Thrones: A FANTASY show! My favourite genre! Its IMDB rating is damn high!
And so I downloaded it. First episode was so-so. Loaded with nude scenes =.=. Then before I know it, I've already unconsciously addicted to this series xD. Not because of the nude scenes, OK?
Game of Thrones is adapted from the novel - A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin. It is about seven noble families fighting for a throne - the Iron Throne.

It's a throne made out of hundreds of swords, as you can notice if you look closer. Well, for me, it's an ugly throne. But everyone wants to sit on it lol. That's Daenerys Targaryen sitting on it in the picture. I personally hope that eventually she will be the one who sits on the throne.
Game of Thrones - You win or you die.
Now, the show is not just about war. That would be too boring for me to watch then. It's a mix of power, loyalty, honour, love, sex, religion - you name it. I think that's one reason I like it. Besides that, what's fascinating about it is that in every episode, you will discover a new secret of one character or two, and u can expect more secrets to be revealed in the coming episodes :) Many of the episodes end with a twist, where a good person turns out to be a bad person, or vice versa. That's why every time I just can't resist to watch the next episode even though I have other things to do =.= But I'm a bit sad coz I'm watching the third season already and the fourth season will only premiere in 2014! At first, I thought there are four or five seasons but there're only three. And there are only 10 episodes in a season.
BTW, Game of Thrones holds the number one ranking of fantasy series in IMDB with 9.4/10 ranking, mind you! See here.
Enough about the introduction, now some things about the characters...heheh I like most of the characters, really. No matter good characters or bad characters, there seem to be some good characteristics in the bad ones, and some bad characteristics in the good ones. I don't even know who is good or who is bad coz every time I thought one character is good, the next second it becomes bad! So I decided I just like all of them! lol.
Remember I mentioned about seven noble families? Yeap I'll categorize them into their families here. I like the family names, mottos, place names and the characters' names! Very fantasy-ish!
HOUSE LANNISTER
Sigil: A golden lion
Unofficial Motto: A Lannister always pays his debts. (They are damn rich.)
TYRION LANNISTER
In the first few episodes, we see him as a dwarf sleeping around with whores. Yes, a dwarf. But later on, you will love him! Everyone has a story that makes him who he is today. He's got a very sad story but he is a kind person I suppose!
CERSEI LANNISTER
The beautiful queen that has an affair with her twin brother! Desires for power but are loyal to her children and her father. A pitiful woman actually.
JAIME LANNISTER

When he is being captured as a captive. Look how miserable he is. He even got his hand chopped off :O Poor man.
TYWIN LANNISTER
The Lord of Casterly Rock. A man who loves his family legacy more than anything, even his children. His children are like his tools to protect his family legacy.
Why did I put him under Lannisters?? You watch the series or figure out yourself :P He's got sadistic personality disorder! Yucks, so sick.
JOFFERY BARATHEON

HOUSE STARK
Sigil: A grey direwolf.
Motto: Winter is coming.
EDDARD STARK
The Lord of Winterfell. He was an honoured man, but his honour brought him death. A loving husband and father.
CATELYN STARK
Wife of Eddard Stark and Lady of Winterfell. A strong woman that I admire. Would do anything to protect her children.
ROBB STARK
The eldest son of Eddard Stark and Catelyn Tully and the heir to Winterfell. Called the "Young Wolf" by others. Have to lead a war at such a young age for vengeance.
SANSA STARK
Eldest daughter of the Starks. Young and beautiful. Once dreamt of being a princess or the queen. But she looks rather sad in this picture, isn't she? Well that's because her dreams just scattered after she's engaged to Joffery, the nasty kid. Watching her father's head being chopped off, receiving threats, and having to pretend to be loyal to someone who killed his father; it's a miracle she didn't turn mad.
ARYA STARK
A girl, or a boy? Haha. She's a tomboy who likes playing with sword. Daughter of the Starks. Pretend to be a boy to hide from the enemies. Brave little girl!
BRAN STARK
Son of the Starks. Cute right?? In the third season I found that he has grown into a not-so-cute-as-before boy anymore :/ Pushed off from a high spot by Jaime Lannister and become crippled ever since :( He is a warg! He can enter his direwolf, Summer's mind and control its actions!
JON SNOW
Jon Snow. Why did I put him under Starks? It's because he is the bastard son of Eddard Stark. In Westeros, bastards don't get a surname of his family; their surname is Snow. People despise him, disrespect him, but he loves his family and wants to protect them. IMO, I think he is the most handsome guy in the whole series!
HOUSE TYRELL
Sigil: A golden rose.
Motto: Growing strong.
LORAS TYRELL
Known as the Knight of Flowers because of his good looks. Brother of Margaery. He is a gay. A good person I think. Tyrell is one of the wealthy families who rules the Highgarden.
MARGAERY TYRELL
I think she is beautiful, intelligent and very ambitious. She always wears those semi-exposing clothes, is it for seducing men? =.= But she knows how to manipulate the nasty Joffery with words, and she's the only one who can. I still can't decide whether she's good or bad. She shows kindness to orphans, Sansa and most people but at the same time she aims for power.
PEOPLE WITH NO FAMILY
PETYR BAELISH
Sometimes called "Littlefinger". Comes from a lowborn family but worked his way up until the King's Small Council. Craves for power and status. This man is evil and cunning. He betrayed the Starks!! I dislike him!
LORD VARYS
Sometimes called "The Spider" or "Masters of Whisperers" as he is a spymaster for the king. He looks cunning right? But I think he is a good guy! Very intelligent also.
AND LASTLY.......................................
HOUSE TARGARYEN
Sigil: A red three-headed dragon.
Motto: Fire and blood.
DAENERYS TARGARYEN
A.k.a Daenerys Stormborn, Mother of Dragons, blablabla many names lol. She's very pretty!!! I like her very much!!! She owns three small baby dragons which will grow into huge powerful dragons soon and she will rule the Seven Kingdoms (I think, hehe)! From a timid girl, she became an independent, strong and courageous woman. She was forced to marry Khal Drogo, the head of Dothraki. She didn't even know how to communicate with her husband due to language barrier! Not to mention that Dothraki's culture is very cruel and...well...I shall put it this way: they think women's only use is sex and they are not shy to do it in the public =.= But in the end, she managed to learn Dothraki's language and won his husband's and the whole Dothraki people's heart! And proven herself to be a leader too! Salute!
There are many more characters but I think they are not that much important.
I actually started typing this post last week (too busy to finish it) and therefore I already finished watching Season 3 few days ago! OMGWTFBBQ the ending was very tragic! Now I have to wait for Season 4 :( CAN'T WAITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!
