Pharmacy Attachment Days

9:57 PM

Yeap. We were arranged for 2-days attachment (19 & 20th August; 10am-6pm) at Guardian Pharmacies around Klang Valley and KL. I got the one at Centrepoint Bandar Utama =.= God knows why I always get those far far ones.

I was kinda worried because I never take LRT relying on my own sense of direction before and this time I gotta interchange two times: LRT-KTM-LRT. However, things went a lot more better than expected. I didn't get on the wrong train, go to the wrong platform or anything! Cheh, yuan lai so easy! Now I can go anywhere I want with public transportation alone liao. But I still don't know how to take bus lah...lol. Bus is more risky; you won't even know whether you're heading the wrong way or not until you're in the middle of nowhere =.=

I quite enjoyed these 2 days! Main reason, of course, is I learned a lot of things that can't be learned in university! Like we don't have to follow exactly the WWHAM to ask customers questions! Then why do we learn all that in university? I have no idea. But before this attachment, we have already knew that we don't have to ask all the questions to customers la...come on...who so free to answer so many questions just to buy a medicine? So, we learned about the questions that are necessary to be asked, and what products can we recommend for many many common illnesses. Surprisingly, quite a lot of customers came asking for medicines. We thought since the place was so remote (compared to KLCC and Midvalley lah lol. And the place looked lousy too), we would not get many customers for us to learn stuff. Well, we were wrong.

The pharmacist there, Nicole was very nice to us! She is 20 something and graduated from UM. She taught us a lot of things, albeit we were reserved and hesitant to ask questions. Haha she said we were too quiet and keep asking us to be confident and talk more! She gave us opportunities to serve customers but we didn't have the courage and confidence (like OMG WHAT IF WE GIVE THE WRONG MED or embarrass ourselves?!). So eventually we didn't really talk to any customer lah (thank god Nicole didn't force us lol). There were a few times customers asked us for drug while we were studying drugs at the counter and Nicole was somewhere else, then we freaked out and said "sry we are just students blablabla" and faster called Nicole over lol! I wonder did the customers feel weird when they saw 3 ppl (four if Nicole was around too) in white coats standing at the counter ? =.=

We met some weird customers like one asking for something stronger than Panadol for pain, Nicole suggested an NSAID then she said she tried before but not effective, then eventually she bought Panadol =.= The thing is, NSAID is stronger than Panadol... Other than that, in these 2 days we encountered one customer asking for Postinor each day! FYI Postinor is an emergency contraceptive pill! Hahaha I know we shouldn't judge but...I couldn't help but observe their bodies, clothes and everything LOL.

First day we had lunch at Subway, second day at Black Canyon. Food at Black Canyon is quite nice and affordable. They are around RM10! I think I start to like taking pictures for food already. Nah, pictures.

My BBQ chicken fried rice. I liked it!

Hahaha I copied the concept of adding stickers to the pictures from a mobile app. The stickers were not free so I drew myself :P

My two other friends' meals were not pretty so I don't wanna put here lol.

Every time after lunch when we went back to the pharmacy, Nicole wasn't back yet. So we looked around the stuffs on the shelves there (very much like shopping). We looked at cosmetics, skin care products, shampoos (yup...everything but medicines lol)... JA opened the cap of almost every brand of shampoo to smell them lol.

Then when the time was near the end of our attachment, Nicole filled in the evaluation form for each of us. She so good gave us 4/5 for all aspects! Then we took pictures at the counter :)

Everything was great except one thing that spoiled the perfection! On the first day, JA's bf fetched us to BU but on the second day we had to take public transportation to there. Then, when we were at Bandar Tasik Selatan, the "Touch and Go" machine was spoiled. JA was before me so when I saw she didn't scan then I also didn't scan lor (I even felt a bit happy that time coz I thought can save money wtf)! Who knew when I reached Subang Jaya station, the trouble came. There was a ticketing officer standing at the machine there (also a spoiled machine) and the STUPID TOUCH AND GO BEEPED ONE TIME ONLY! So he confiscated my T&G card. After that he checked using the computer and the record only showed that I checked out at Bandar Tasik Selatan yesterday night! So in the end I kena penalty of FUCKING RM30 for "salah penggunaan T&G kad"! More expensive than cab fee! WTF! 早知道搭 taxi! LOL. Since I was short of time I also didn't argue with the guy (as if I dare to lol). Luckily, he wasn't mean to me. He even explained to me and  taught me how to use T&G patiently lol thx!

It was my first time using T&G nia! NEVER MIND...I'll take it as an expensive lesson F3. So if u don't know this yet, make sure you hear TWO BEEPS when u cross the machine ah! If not must request help from an officer there! So that you won't have to go through this painful experience like me :( Anyway I don't dare to use T&G at KTM stations anymore lol. On the journey back, I bought a one-way ticket. BTW, the T&G card I borrowed from JA one, and her card was also automatically charged RM18 by the machine!

Other than that T&G incident my KTM experience was fairly enjoyable. It's been a long time since the last time I took KTM. New trains had been added into the tracks! Take a look!

Once u go in you'll see all-white design~ like AirAsia aircraft lol.

There are LCD screens showing the next station at anytime you want to check whether you're on the right track.

Route Map

This is what I like the most! The route map in the train shows clearly which route the train is taking and which is the next station! Much better than the old trains!

I got on the women's coach hehe.

That ends the post :)
